HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton University sophomore linebacker Delbert Tyler and senior outside hitter Mianna Armstrong were named Hampton University Athletes of the Week, the school announced on Wednesday.

Tyler (Monroeville, Pa.) tied for the team-high with 18 tackles in Saturday's 10-7 loss to Howard at Armstrong Stadium. He had seven solo tackles and 11 assisted stops against the Bison, tying DeVonte' Hawkins for the team lead.

Armstrong (Lomond, Alberta) recorded her seventh double-double of the season against Howard on Sunday, recording 11 kills and 12 digs on defense. She hit .233 as the Lady Pirates swept the Lady Bison and solidified their hold on third place in the MEAC Northern Division.

She also had one service ace and assisted on two blocks.
