SMYRNA, Tenn. -- The Hampton University women's bowling team won three matches over the weekend at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn.
The Lady Pirates had a rough day on Friday, losing all six matches. They lost to Winston-Salem State 718-774, Farleigh-Dickinson 759-876, Nebraska 853-966, St. Francis College 824-845, Valparaiso 810-906 and Morgan State 845-882.

Jazzminn Richey-Obey bowled a team-high 874 on Friday, and her game-high was 216 in game four. Freshman
Rebecca Glazier was second on the team in total pinfall with 853. She bowled her game-high in the first game with a 185.
As a team, Hampton's total pinfall was 3,964 on Friday, averaging 660 total pins per game.
Hampton went 3-6 in Baker total pinfall.
On Saturday, the Lady Pirates started the day off with a victory over North Carolina A&T 579-503. The next match was against Vanderbilt, which they lost 654-773. Hampton also lost the next three to Central Missouri (632-721), Louisiana Teach (649-737) and Sacred Heart (640-794). The Lady Pirates finished the day how they started, with a victory over Morgan State 669-648.
On Sunday, Morgan State and North Carolina A&T got revenge on the Lady Pirates winning their respective matches 1-4, 1-4. However, Hampton ended on a good note with a victory against Winston-Salem State 4-1.
The Lady Pirates (56-79) will finish up their season this weekend at the 2010 MEAC Championships, which will be held in Greensboro, N.C.
