CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Hampton University women's tennis team (1-3) comes up short against the Eagles of North Carolina Central (3-8) 4-3 on Saturday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the North Carolina campus.
In singles play, No. 1 junior Sangria defeated Chorna 6-2, 7-5.
No. 2 sophomore Myers came up short against N.C. Central's Palko 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.
No. 3 freshman Daolio lost a tough match with the Lady Eagles' Cameron Chatman 6-7, 6-2, 6-3.
No. 4 Ycaza defeated Rogers of North Carolina Central 6-3, 6-4.

Janelle Small of Hampton lost to Tatiana Velasquez in straight sets (6-2, 6-2).
Lady Pirates' senior No. 6 Na Hyun Baek was defeated by Maria Medina, because Baek retired due to illness.
