Revised 2009-10 Lady Pirates track schedule
HAMPTON, Va. – The second annual Hampton University Invitational, which was scheduled to be held at the Boo Williams Sportsplex on Jan. 22-23, will be cancelled due to a lack of entrants.
The cancellation is but one of the changes to the Hampton indoor track & field schedule; instead of competing in the Penn State North Challenge this weekend as originally planned, the Pirates and Lady Pirates will participate in the New York City Gotham Cup this Saturday in New York, N.Y. In the place of the Hampton University Invitational on Jan. 22-23, Hampton will head to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the UNC Classic.
The Lady Pirates will head to Boston, Mass. to compete in the Terrier Invitational, hosted by Boston University, on Jan. 29-30 – in part because of a special race scheduled for senior
Francena McCorory (Hampton, Va.) to give her the chance to break the national record in the 300-meter dash.
