Women's Outdoor All-Americans (PDF)
HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton University junior Francena McCorory was named a 2009 Division I Outdoor Track & Field All-American in the 400-meter dash on Saturday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
McCorory (Hampton, Va.) finished third in the 400-meter dash at the 2009 NCAA Division I Outdoor championships, running a personal- and season-best 50.58. Her time was also a school record.
Seven of the top nine finishers from the NCAA Outdoor Championships were named to the All-America team. Event champion Joanna Atkins of Auburn and second-place finisher Jessica Beard from Texas A&M were also named to the All-America team.
