JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The Hampton University women’s golf team finished ninth out of 11 teams on Tuesday in the Butler University Don Benbow North-South Invitational at Jacksonville Beach Golf Course with a two-day score of 665. Dionne West was the highest finisher for the Lady Pirates, coming in a tie for sixth with a 13-over 153.
West shot a team-best 74 in the first round on Monday.
Sydnee Mack shot a 23-over 163 to finish in a tie for 28th, while Iman Ellis finished 42nd with a two-day score of 168 (28-over). Hailey Hill shot a 41-over 181 to come in 51st, and Jessi Mitchell came in a tie for 54th with a 45-over 185.
Bethune-Cookman won the team tournament title with a two-day score of 607. Fern Grimshaw of the Lady Wildcats was the best individual finisher, shooting a 143 over two days to finish at +3.
