PIRATES FINISH NINTH IN SSU INVITATIONAL

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Hampton University men's golf team finished ninth in the Savannah State University Tiger Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Henderson Golf Club, recording a two-day score of 683. Christopher Frazier was the highest-finishing Pirate, coming in a tie for 19th with a 20-over 162.
Javier Lopez shot a 31-over 173 on the par-71 layout, finishing in a tie for 36th. Arturo Saro and Jared Williams each finished in a tie for 38th after shooting a 32-over-par 174. Geffory Napper finished 49th after shooting a two-day score of 181.
South Carolina State won the team title with a two-day score of 614. Roberto Cacho of South Carolina State took the individual championship by beating Florida A&M's James Petty Jr. in a playoff after both players fired a 7-over 149.
