THE WOODLANDS GOLF COURSE

The Woodlands is an 18-hole, regulation par-69, 5400 yard golf course located at 9 Woodland Road in Hampton, near Hampton University. Any conversation about golf in the Tidewater region always characterizes The Woodlands as the course "always in great shape, no matter the season." Again, for 2005, The Woodlands Golf Course was "Hampton Roads’ Most Popular Golf Course" as reported by the Hampton Roads Business Journal, "Inside Business."

The course has bentgrass greens and Bermuda rough and fairways. The Hampton River winds its way through the course, bringing water into play on 11 of the holes. The short yardage may be deceiving. This is a shot maker’s golf course.

The course offers four sets of tee markers and is friendly to men, women and children of all ages. The Woodlands is a very affordable, public golf course that is always a favorite with locals.
