Finished third in the 5,000-meter run at the Norfolk State Collegiate Open, running a 19:21.91… competed in two events at the William & Mary Tribe Invite: the 800-meter run (2:21.94 – 7^th) and the 1,500-meter run (4:51.00 – 4^th)… finished third in the 3,000-meter run at the International Friendship & Freedom meet, running a 11:02.69… helped the 4x800-meter relay team finish eighth at the Penn Relays with a time of 9:06.82.

 

Finished second in the mile run at the Christopher Newport Lid-Lifter, running a 5:16.60… ran a 5:16.25 in the mile at the Virginia Tech Invitational, finishing 12^th… finished fourth in the 800-meter run at the Maryland Invitational, running a 2:20.93… ran a 10:54.11 in the 3,000-meter run at the CNU Vince Brown Invitational, finishing third… competed in three events at the MEAC Championships: the mile run (5:16.87 – 5^th), the 800-meter run (2:17.21 – 5^th) and the 3,000-meter run (10:31.53 – 4^th).

 

Ran a school-record 22:53.40 over 6,000 meters in the NCAA Southeast Regional, finishing 100^th… opened the season with a ninth-place finish at the Adidas Cross Country Invitational, running a 19:44.00… ran a 19:05. 68 at the Maryland-Eastern Shore Cappy Anderson Invitational, finishing eighth… ran a team-best 24:10.80 at the William & Mary Colonial Inter-Regional, finishing 50^th… finished second at the Norfolk State Invitational with a 18:47.70… ran a 23:42.00 at the Tribe Open to finish sixth… helped the Lady Pirates win the 2006 MEAC title with a third-place run of 18:09.00, her best time of the season.

 

Finished 14^th in the 5,000-meter run at the Raleigh Relays, running a 18:44.40… competed in two events at the Maryland Invitational: the 800-meter run (2:18.98 – 6^th) and the 1,500-meter run (4:35.17 – 11^th)… won the 800-meter run at the Christopher Newport 3-Way Meet with a time of 2:17.01… earned all-conference honors by winning both the 800-meter run (2:10.43) and the 1,500-meter run (4:44.49) at the MEAC Championships… also finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a 18:38.60.

 

Competed in three events in the Christopher Newport Lid-Lifter Invitational: the 800-meter run (2:23.44 – 1^st), the mile run (5:24.40 – 3^rd) and the 3,000-meter run (10:42.17 – 2^nd)… also competed in three events at the Maryland-Eastern Shore Coach O College Invitational: the 800-meter run (2:23.44 – 1^st), the mile run (5:24.23 – 5^th) and the 3,000-meter run (10:57.57 – 5^th)… finished 12^th in the mile run (5:17.31), 11^th in the 500-meter run (1:17.96) and 15^th in the 800-meter run (2:24.57) at the Virginia Tech Invitational… finished seventh in the 800-meter run at the Maryland Invitational with a 2:21.37… ran a 2:18.00 to finish second in the 800-meter run at Liberty’s On Track Open… finished fifth in the mile run (5:13.71) and ninth in the 800-meter run (2:19.80) at the UNC Chapel Hill Carolina Classic… won the mile run (5:10.44) and the 3,000-meter run (10:28.87) at the MEAC Championships, earning all-conference honors in each event… also finished third in the 800-meter run with a 2:14.81.

 

Finished seventh in the 800-meter run at the VCU Ram Invitational, running a 2:21.81… competed in two events at the Aggie Relays: the 800-meter dash (2:20.91 – 3^rd) and the 1,500-meter run (4:55.19 – 5^th)… ran a 2:18.19 in the 800-meter run at the Duke Invitational to finish 36^th… finished 34^th in the 800-meter run (2:15.89) and 29^th in the 1,500-meter run (4:45.28) at the Tennessee Sea Ray Relays… finished seventh in the 800-meter run at the MEAC Championships with a 2:17.33... also finished seventh in the 1,500-meter run with a 4:45.63.

 

Won the 800-meter run at the Christopher Newport Lid-Lifter Invitational with a time of 2:18.65… ran a 11:19.50 in the 3,000-meter run at the Maryland-Eastern Shore Coach O College Invitational, finishing third… also helped Hampton’s 4x400-meter relay ‘B’ team with a 3:57.13… finished 20^th in the mile run at the Virginia Tech Indoor Invitational, running a 5:23.64… won the 800-meter dash at the Christopher Newport College Classic with a time of 2:23.37… also helped the distance medley team win with a 12:46.03… ran a 2:19.46 in the 800-meter run at the Virginia Tech Challenge to finish 18^th… finished fifth in the 800-meter run at the MEAC Championships, running a 2:19.47… also ran a 10:51.28 in the 3,000-meter run to finish third and a 5:15.36 in the mile run to finish fourth.

 

Came in 50^th at the Colonial Invitational with a 21:29.00… ran a 20:59.00 at the George Washington University Invitational to finish 41^st… finished fifth at the Norfolk State Invitational, running a 19:04.00… ran a 19:54.00 in the William & Mary Tribe Open to finish 17^th… finished second in the MEAC Championships with a time of 19:05.80.

 

Finished third in the state in the 800-meter run her sophomore year… finished 10^th in the state cross country meet and won the 800-meter run state title as a junior… won the outdoor 800-meter state title her senior year, also placing 10^th in the indoor nationals in the 800-meter run… was a varsity cheerleader her freshman year.

 

Born Oct. 25, 1985… daughter of Debbie Watkins and Patrick Hemby… has five siblings: Kyara (19), Brandon (21), Clarence III (16), Bryan (15) and Brittney (12)… majoring in physical education.
