VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Hampton University junior
Quanneisha Perry was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week on Monday, an announced the conference office.
Perry (Decatur, Ga.) poured in a career-high 31 points on Jan. 18 in an 82-81 road loss to North Carolina A&T, while also pulling down 14 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. She also scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Saturday's 81-44 win over Bethune-Cookman.
This is Perry's second weekly conference honor this season; she was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week on Dec. 28.
Saadia Doyle of Howard was named MEAC Rookie of the Week, while Florida A&M's Qiana Donald was named Defensive Player of the Week.
