GREEN ON TIMBERWOLVES’ TRAINING CAMP ROSTER

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Former Hampton University basketball standout Devin Green has been added to the training camp roster of the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves, signing as an unrestricted free agent on Monday.

Green (Columbus, Ohio) competed for Minnesota during the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in three games. Green played for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2005-06 season, appearing in 27 games while also playing for two years in the NBA D-League's Los Angeles D-Fenders. There, he averaged 19.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 13 games during the 2006-07 season, and 16.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 24 games in 2007-08.

Green played in Belgium last year.

Green is fourth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,757 points. His career-best average came in his junior season, when he averaged 15.2 points a game during the 2003-04 season. Green averaged 14.1 points a game in 2004-05.

The Timberwolves' first training camp practice will be on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. CST at Bresnan Arena on the campus of Minnesota State University-Mankato.
